May Full Moon 6/5/12

Last night was a very special full moon as me and my friend Stephan did a long distance ritual.
(Cross country)

It was a very special ritual because first we did a connecting exercise but also because i had a special ritual of my own to do and it went perfectly. Im going to share the ritual we did last night here and if anyone wants to join in next month let me know and we can have a mass Esbat. I think thats a pretty cool idea :)

All credit for putting together this ritual goes to Stephan. See his blog here: http://celticwitchmusings.blogspot.co.uk/

These are the tools i had ready for the ritual:

                                                                                           Guard kitty!

The Ritual:

Full Moon Ritual

 Directing the energy (10PM/11PM)
Visualize a silver cord keeping the two of us together in friendship, perfect love and trust.
    Say:

    “Joined together hand in hand
    our circle gathers round,
to work our magic, weave the web,
    and dance on sacred ground.
By the goddess we are called,
witch to witch and friend to friend,
to merry meet, and merry part,
    and merry meet again.”

    Casting the Circle

“By the power of the Witch’s
    is the Magick Circle made.
    A strong enclosure, a power-full room,
    Safe within the Goddess’ womb;
A sacred place, a world apart
Where energies merge and Magick starts.
With Air and Fire this Circle I tread
To know our will is Magick ‘tis said.
With Water and Earth, this Circle is complete
To dare and keep silent after we meet.”

    Cleansing/Consecrating the space

    a)      sweeping the circle with a broom/besom/whatever tool
    “Witche’s broom swift in flight
Cast out darkness, bring in light
Earth be hallow, air be clear
    fire bright, as water heals
A sacred bridge this site shall be”

    b)      lighting incense/smudge stick
“Smoke to smoke and ash to ash,
May the smoke now be our cloak.
Protect us, guide us, blessed be,
    Banish doubts and negativity.”

    c)      sprinkling the circle with Salt/Salt Water
“Salt of Earth, I call to thee,
Bless this space, and do bless me,
    For cleansing shall forever hold,
The sacred space we now do mold.”

    Calling the Corners

“The East, the Dawn, the blowing Air,
The energies of mind, true and fair.
Into this circle I call thee,
    Clarity, and blessed be.”

“The South, the Sun, the burning Fire,
    The energies of passion, desire.
Into this circle I call thee,
Love and Lust, and blessed be.”

“The West, the Cool, the flowing water,
Healing of son, intuition of daughter.
Into this circle I call thee,
    Emotion, fair, and blessed be.”

“The North, the womb, the sacred Earth,
    Bringing bones and soul’s rebirth.
Into this circle, I call thee,
    Stability, and blessed be.”

    Prayers to the Moon Goddess

    “Goddess of the moon -
    Mother of the earth -
    We pray to you now,
    Bless us with mirth

    And trust in our path
    And show us the way
    With no harm to any
    Bring on these new days

    We dance to you skyclad
    In our hearts and souls
    With two sacred passwords
    To love and to know

    We seek out your blessing
    And revel in your love
    Goddess of many
    Bright lady above.”

“Silver Lady nestling in the midnight sky,

Shine your ageless wisdom upon our souls.

Guide us and nourish our spirits with your mysteries

So that we may flourish and grow under your beauty.

Oh goddess of light, teach us the truths we so desire

And let us bathe in your silver aura.

Cleanse our bodies in your purifying light

And uplift our minds with your magic and majesty.

So shall we honour you with our hearts

And forever follow your illuminated path

To the centre of our souls. “

    The Charge of the Goddess

“Now listen to the words of the Great Mother, who was of old also called among men Artemis, Astarte, Athene, Dione, Melusine, Aphrodite, Cerridwen, Dana, Arianrhod, Isis, Bride, and by many other names.

Whenever ye have need of any thing, once in the month, and better it be when the moon is full, then shall ye assemble in some secret place, and adore the spirit of me, who am Queen of all witches.

There shall ye assemble, ye who are fain to learn all sorcery, yet have not won its deepest secrets; to these will I teach things that are as yet unknown. And ye shall be free from slavery; and as a sign that ye be really free, ye shall be naked in your rites; and ye shall dance, sing, feast, make music and love, all in my praise. For mine is the ecstasy of the spirit, and mine also is joy on earth; for my law is love unto all beings. Keep pure your highest ideal; strive ever towards it, let naught stop you or turn you aside; for mine is the secret door which opens upon the land of youth, and mine is the cup of wine of life, and the cauldron of Cerridwen, which is the Holy Grail of immortality.

I am the gracious Goddess, who gives the gift of joy unto the heart of man. Upon earth, I give the knowledge of the spirit eternal; and beyond death, I give peace, and freedom, and reunion with those who have gone before.

Nor do I demand sacrifice; for behold, I am the Mother of all living, and my love is poured out upon the earth.

Hear ye the words of the Star Goddess; she in the dust of whose feet are the hosts of heaven, whose body encircles the universe:

    I am the beauty of the green earth, and the white moon among the stars, and the mystery of the waters, and the desire of the heart of man. Call unto thy soul; arise and come unto me; for I am the soul of nature, who gives life to the universe. From me all things proceed, and unto me all things must return;

and before my face, beloved of Gods and of men, let thine innermost divine self be enfolded in the rapture of the infinite.

Let my worship be within the heart that rejoiceth; for behold, all acts of love and pleasure are my rituals.

And therefore let there be beauty and strength, power and compassion, honour and humility, mirth and reverence within you.

And thou who thinkest to seek for me, know thy seeking and yearning shall avail thee not unless thou knowest the mystery: that if that which thou seekest thou findest not within thee, thou wilt never find it without thee.

For behold, I have been with thee from the beginning; and I am that which is attained at the end of desire.”

    Drawing Down the Moon

Raise blade/wand/arms to the sky where the Full Moon stands high. Close your eyes and feel Her energy flowing into your body, merging with you. The pure essence of the Goddess is entering your body. You’re becoming Her.
    Say:

“Goddess of the Moon, You have been known by many names in many lands in many times. You are universal and constant. In the dark of night, You shine down upon us and bathe us in Your light and love. I ask You, O Divine One, to honor me by joining with me, and allowing me to feel Your presence within my heart.

I am the Mother of all life, the One who watches over all. I am the wind in the sky, the spark in the fire, the seedling in the earth, the water in the river.

I am the vessel from which All Things spring forth.

Honor Me from within your heart! Remember that acts of love and pleasure are My rituals, and that there is beauty in all things.

Honor Me on this night of the full moon! I have been with you since the moment you were created, and shall remain with you always.

Let there be beauty and strength, wisdom and honor, humility and courage within you. If you need Me, call upon Me and I shall come to you, for I am everywhere, always.

Honor Me as you seek knowledge! I am the Maiden, the Mother and the Crone, and I live within you.”

Feel the power of the Goddess within you. When you are ready, conclude with:

“I look down upon the sands of the desert, I crash the tides upon the shore, I shine on the mighty trees of the forests, and watch with joy as Life continues every cycle.

Be true to Me, honoring that which I have created, and I shall be true to you in return.

With harm to none, so it shall be.”

Thank the Goddess in a personal way

Thank the Corners, and release them

Ground by eating, and meditate, and share your experiences.

    Shadow Work Book

This is the book im using for my shadow work!

    Shadow Work

So ive been hitting the shadow work hard this week. Ive always struggled understanding how shadow work works . . as in . . whats the point of just bringing my issues to the surface. I thought to do shadow work you muct confront an issue, talk about it or wright it down, then come up with a solution or stop the bad/destructive behavior some how. I realize now you dont have to come up with a solution or solve the problem right now. Just by bring it up and bringing it to the front of your mind helps.

There may be no solution only self exception . . coming to terms with your dark secrets and flaws. By writing them down you are not hiding them from your self and what you cant change you can learn to live with! Gosh im deep! lol!

Another problem i had was writing truthfully! I couldn't help writing as if someone but me might read it. I kept having the urge to write properly, neatly, correctly. I found when i eventually let go i could wright about highly emotional topics but they would make little sense sometimes just words, phrases and general ramblings. I let go because i decided this is not a book im going to keep and look back on.

Over the next few months i am going to fill this little black book of mine with all the troubled thoughts, personal flaws, things im ashamed off, disappointing and inadequate feelings. When they are all out of me im going to let them go and burn the book.

I could never keep a diary when i was a kid because i always tried to write it like a book for someone else would read, sort of like how you watch a film with a narrator. This made writing a days events out to much effort and when i started shadow work this was the same problem i had! By telling myself this book is going to be burnt and NOONE will see it is the only way i could start writing in it! It is seriously messy! But thats how it should be! Ironic really . . sort out the mess in your head with a messy book! lol!

Anyways! Thats a update about whats going on with me!
Be sure to let me know your tales of shadow work!
